Religious Nuts on CNN’s “Hologram” Interview
Everyone I’ve talked to has agreed with me that CNN’s “hologram” interview thingy from election night was one of the stupidest things they’ve ever seen on TV — and that’s saying a lot. Why mess with all of that when a split screen with two talking heads would be so much more practical?
Well, apparently it did have one benefit: it freaked out the religious nuts over at the Rapture Ready message boards. They seem to think that the antichrist will use CNN’s hologram technology to show himself to the world. Or, they just think that science is advancing too much and it’s un-Jesuslike. They all seem to think that CNN has developed actual hologram technology that allows someone to be projected into thin air, like something out of Star Wars. That’s weird in and of itself, but I guess to be expected from a group of people that believe in an invisible man in the sky who’ll teleport anyone who believes in him up into the sky to live with him any day now.
Some quotes:
Can we say image of the beast? Whoa!
this isnt giving me a good feeling…hi tech/ bio, nano tech, cloning around and playing with fire, this will assist new age idoltry. this hologram tech has gripon the world and i think they process of further trying to condition us all, lets not be decieved and stay aware of where they are taking this world.
What a unique way for the Secret Service to protect the President – he won’t have to go into large crowds and risk an attempt on his life!
Right… tell everyone to look at a TV screen where they use special effects to make it look like the President is standing in front of them? And tell them not to actually look in front of them, just at the TV screens? I think that would only work for the extremely gullible (e.g., religious nuts.)
This could be how the AC appears to everyone in the world. I don’t think that Obama is the AC but the fact that this interview took place on the same night that Obama was elected is probably more than coincidence.
AC is the antichrist, by the way, not Atlantic City. I don’t think Obama is Atlantic City, either. He might be alternating current, though, you never can tell.
Didn’t watch cnn last night,so this is the first i have seen of the hologram. Decided to go to church instead, and glad i did. Very scary stuff. Definitely something the AC can use. Boy,the times we live in makes me so glad and thankful i am a believer in Jesus, our wonderful Lord and Savior.
Watched the CNN video and I was astonished! Wow! Star Trek hologram technology coming true.
Man this just FLOORS me! Everything is happeneing SO fast! It’s all coming together for the rule of the AC! I mean wow…this is sooo cool but at the same time very scary!
Just think of the amount of business trips ALONE that would be cut down because of this technology! The corporate world could do a great deal of business deals using this…and all without even leaving their own building to travel to a destination in another city! That all by it’s self is so green it’s not even funny! People are going to LOVE this.
My mind is seriously boggled. How in the world does this do anything for corporate videoconferencing that standard videoconferencing doesn’t do? This would be a horrible videoconferencing technology, even if there was some CEO egotistical enough to build a camera-filled room to duplicate the effect.
Thank you religious freaks for giving me something to laugh about on this otherwise-somber Veteran’s Day.
