Ok, I think we’re up and running here. Welcome to fakerake.com, I’m glad you could join us. Are you really joining us already? On the very first post? That seems pretty unlikely. My guess is that you aren’t really here, and that I’m writing to an empty Internet that doesn’t care about me. (Yes, it’s “me.” The “us” earlier is just a convenient way of saying “the one person writing this on his own.” “Us” is much pithier, don’t you think?)

Or maybe it’s 5 years down the line and this site is wildly successful and you’re exploring the archives to find the humble beginnings. Well, this is me being humble.

Sorry about not listing my name, but I really want to be able to write about people I know and work with (most likely under fake names) and I can’t get away with that if my real name is on here.

Hopefully more writing will be showing up here soon.
